Two Team Members Become Licensed Architects
Marx|Okubo is pleased to congratulate two of our technical staff on recently passing the State of California Architects Board licensing examinations and becoming licensed architects. These valuable members of the Marx|Okubo team add to our growing list of licensed professionals serving clients throughout the country.
Christy Kim, AIA, has been with Marx|Okubo since 2001, when she obtained her Bachelor of Environmental Design from the University of Colorado, Boulder. She started as a Project Coordinator in Denver and moved to the Irvine office in 2003, where she has been since. Mrs. Kim has been in the field of architecture and construction since 1999, with experience at traditional design firms and responsibilities during her time at Marx|Okubo including property condition assessments, project management, disabled-accessibility reviews, construction loan monitoring, owner's representation, detailed cost analysis, and drafting.
Jeffrey Seastrom has been with Marx|Okubo since 2008 and has been responsible for a broad range of services including preparing construction documents, property condition assessments, pre-construction document review, construction loan monitoring, cost analysis, and construction observation services. Prior to joining Marx|Okubo, Mr. Seastrom worked for a traditional architectural design firm, performing work on all project phases, from schematic design to construction documents to construction administration. Mr. Seastrom obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley, in 2005. He is a LEED Accredited Professional with a credential in Building Design and Construction.
