Ron Reed

Director of Educational Facilities

Based in Marx|Okubo’s Southeast region as Director of Educational Facilities, Ron uses his broad understanding of the education market sector to lead business development efforts including identifying and researching potential solutions for clients, developing and maintaining client relationships, coordinating and developing proposals, communicating with stakeholders, and monitoring client satisfaction.

With over 20 years of higher education experience, Ron has worked closely with a variety of colleges and universities in the planning, funding, design, construction, operations, and maintenance of both public and privately funded projects.

Prior to joining Marx|Okubo, Ron served in several prominent director-level positions in higher education, most recently as Director of Real Estate Ventures at the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia. He has also worked at several large project management, construction management, and architecture/engineering firms.

Ron holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Auburn University in Alabama. He is actively involved in several industry organizations including Construction Owners Association of America (COAA), Construction Managers Association of America (CMAA), Georgia Association of Physical Plant Administrators (GAPPA), Georgia Association of State Facilities Administrators (GASFA), and The Society for College and University Planning (SCUP).
