Marx|Okubo Welcomes New Staff to Offices across the Country

Marx|Okubo proudly welcomes Daniel J. Peterson, AIA, to its Houston office, Linda V. Kade, AIA, to its San Francisco office, Paul Oxenreider, P.E., LEED AP, to its Dallas office, Steven Yi, P.E., to its Seattle office, and Christopher E. Ruehl, R.A. LEED AP, to its New York office.

Daniel Peterson, Senior Associate, has over three decades in experience in design development, construction administration, and project management of a wide variety of public and private building types.  Prior to joining Marx|Okubo, Mr. Peterson specialized in educational facilities and owned his own construction, development, and property management firm, specializing in single-family residential construction as well as management of triple-net commercial properties.  Daniel holds a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Design from Texas A&M University, Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from City University of New York, is a registered Architect in Texas, and is a member of the American Institute of Architects and Texas Society of Architects.

Linda V. Kade, Senior Associate, has worked on construction and design defect-related forensic investigations and analysis, wrote related reports for litigation, and developed corrective designs since 1997.  Prior to forensic and property condition work, Ms. Kade owned and managed a full-service architectural firm, where she was responsible for design, preparation of construction documents, permitting, and construction administration.  In addition, her work has been featured in Sonoma Business Magazine, Fine Homebuilding, Better Homes & Gardens, Wet, and Home magazines.  Linda holds a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley, is a licensed Architect in California, and is a member of the American Institute of Architects.

Paul S. Oxenreider P.E., LEED AP, Senior Associate, is a mechanical engineer, and his past experience includes the complete design of unique mechanical systems from initial concepts through construction administration for new facilities, expansions, and remodels.  Responsibilities have included mechanical systems design and project manager activities for a wide variety of projects.  Major projects have included commercial, central plant, laboratory, healthcare, correctional, aviation, educational, and industrial facilities.  Paul holds a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Design from the University of Arkansas, a Master's degree in Thermal and Environmental Engineering from Southern Illinois University, is a professional engineer in Texas, California, Colorado, and Illinois, is a LEED Accredited Professional, and is a member of the American Institute of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Engineers.

Steven Yi, P.E., Associate, has been involved with commissioning of mechanical/electrical/ plumbing systems for almost ten years and has performed services for a broad range of properties including heath care, educational, laboratories, commercial, and residential facilities.  Most notably, Mr. Yi was part of the team that managed the commissional process in the renovation of the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia.  From working for a general contractor to a commissioning service provider, Mr. Yi has experienced the construction industry from a number of different viewpoints.  Steven holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from George Washington University and is a licensed mechanical engineer in Tennessee.

Christopher E. Ruehl, R.A., LEED AP, Senior Associate, has over 25 years of experience as an Architect and Project Manager on diverse building types including single- and multi-family residential, educational, science and technology, commercial, and corporate projects, as well as master planning of varied facilities and higher education.  He believes in a collaborative approach bringing numerous resources together to bring the clients intent and vision to reality.  Mr. Ruehl has worked for numerous clients in both the public and private sectors, and with A/E firms in New York, Connecticut, and New Jersey, completing numerous projects around the northeast and central states.  A Registered Architect in New York and Connecticut, Mr. Ruehl also holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Syracuse University, and is a LEED Accredited Professional with the United States Green Building Council.
