Marx|Okubo's New York office partakes in Take our Daughters and Sons to Work Day

Marx|Okubo's New York office took advantage of Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day on Thursday, April 27, 2017.

The day started with a brief lesson about construction and site safety given by Stephen D’Arcy, Vice President and Regional Manager of the New York office.

The next stop was lunch at Pizzeria Uno, and the older children took a tour of one of our residential projects located at 55 Bank Street, White Plains, NY. Anthony Lauria of LCOR (Developer) provided the tour, and the kids started near the top of the site with an open floor and progressed down the building to see the ongoing progress. The younger children went back to the office to build projects with big Legos.

After the tour and fun with Legos, all of the children joined in the conference room to learn how to review building plans, and they even designed their own project.

After a long day at work, it was time for the most important part of the day…the Ice Cream Social!

Overall, the day was enjoyed by all, and each and every one of the children enjoyed experiencing a day in the life of their parents. It looks like we have a few future Architects and Engineers in the group!
