Jason E. Morris, AIA, RRO, BEC-2

Assistant Vice President

Pasadena

Jason, Assistant Vice President in Marx Okubo’s West region, performs architectural consulting, property condition assessments, pre-construction project reviews, periodic construction observation and owner’s representation-related services.

With a strong background in project management and architectural detailing, Jason draws upon his experience in both the commercial and residential markets to find creative solutions to complex problems.

His experience performing building evaluations ranges from 72-story office towers and multi-billion-dollar media studio campuses spanning millions of square feet. His expertise in building enclosure systems—covering waterproofing, roofing, and exterior envelope—adds a critical dimension to his ability to advise on risk, quality, and long-term asset performance.

Prior to joining Marx Okubo, Jason worked as a project architect at a Los Angeles-based architecture firm, where he focused on managing large-scale luxury retail projects for well-known international brands such as Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Salvatore Ferragamo, Jimmy Choo, and Rolex. In his leading role, he was responsible for managing due diligence, technical documentation, and construction administration as well as overall project scheduling, project budgeting and bid coordination. He has additional experience working with high-end residential, commercial office, and tilt-up concrete industrial projects.

Jason holds a Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. He is a licensed architect in California, a Registered Roof Observer (RRO), a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants (IIBEC), and a consultant who is Building Envelope Certified-Level 2 (BEC-2). In addition, he previously served as a director on the Board of Directors for the Los Angeles chapter of the AIA.
