Parrish S. Boren
President & CEO, Board Chair
Parrish is President & CEO and Board Chair of Marx Okubo. During more than 25 years with the firm, he has served as CFO, COO, and President & CEO—a progression that has provided a unique perspective on the organization’s finances, operations, and strategic direction while helping shape its long-term growth and success.
He has also been an instrumental part of creating Marx Okubo’s Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) and continues to be a committed advocate for employee ownership. The firm is a 100% employee-owned building consultancy, and Parrish views it as central to the firm’s culture, stability, and long-term alignment with client interests.
As CEO, Parrish has driven Marx Okubo’s strategic direction, most notably the diversification of the firm’s consulting services into a multidisciplinary organization integral across the full property lifecycle, broadening the firm’s value to clients at every stage of asset ownership and investment.
Prior to joining Marx Okubo, Parrish held senior and executive roles with a national multifamily firm and an institutional real estate investor. From these cumulative experiences, he contributes deep experience in commercial real estate contract negotiation, asset management, redevelopment, and economic analysis across property types.
Parrish holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental design from Texas A&M University and an MBA with an emphasis in real estate finance from Southern Methodist University. He is a licensed real estate broker in Colorado and a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP).
