As Vice President of Marketing and Communications, Jennifer’s role is to develop and lead the firm’s company-wide integrated marketing and communications strategy, working with all leadership, regions, departments, and other key stakeholders on implementation. In this role, Jen builds, protects, and strengthens the Marx|Okubo brand and position by guiding strategic, creative, and tactical marketing efforts as well as all external and internal communications. Prior to joining Marx|Okubo, Jen was founder and principal of a Denver marketing firm for over 19 years where she led a team that functioned as an outsourced marketing department for both private and public companies in a wide range of industries. Her main roles included brand/strategy development, creative direction, client service, and copywriting. Jen’s overall professional background of over 25 years is on both the agency and client sides of business (B2B and B2C), working in both account and creative services, in industries that range from architecture, construction, and real estate to technology, financial services, retail, entertainment, and health and wellness. She has worked with companies in all different stages, from start-ups to mature companies focusing on growth and exit strategies.

Jen earned a bachelor’s degree in communication, with minors in visual arts and art history, from Rutgers University, School of Communication and Information, in New Brunswick, New Jersey. She has served as a marketing advisor for education, wellness, and financial services organizations reporting to boards of directors, and is a member of the American Marketing Association and the Digital Marketing Institute.
