Marx|Okubo will be presenting at the upcoming GAPPA (Georgia Association of Physical Plant Administrators) event at the Jekyll Island Convention Center in Jekyll, GA on May 27 - May 31, 2023. Charles Killebrew, Vice President and Regional Manager of the Southeast region, will be giving a presentation titled "Prioritizing for Asset Preservation: A Framework for Better Decisions with Limited Resources."

In the current environment of rising construction costs, many institutions are focusing their spending on facilities toward capital improvements and maintenance, repair, and replacement (MMR) projects for their existing buildings. Yet how should projects be prioritized when resources are limited? Based on our 40-year history working with building owners across the country, Marx|Okubo can share a framework for better decisions that prioritize asset preservation.

At the event, we will discuss the benefits of Facility Condition Assessment Reports, help participants identify critical issues at their facilities, and discuss real-world examples for prioritizing projects that will help prevent major damage, extend the useful life of a building, and hopefully avoid major unplanned repairs in the future.
