Candidates for this position are generally engineers or architects-in-training who are seeking practical, hands-on experience in architecture, engineering, project management or and construction. Working under the guidance of professional architects and engineers, project coordinators assist in the review and evaluation of existing buildings and new construction projects.
The job involves field observations, project condition assessments surveys, plan reviews, and cost evaluations of new and existing construction. The ideal candidate has an interest in design and construction, an understanding of building materials and methods, strong organizational skills, some practical experience in an architecture, engineering or construction-related field, and is highly efficient in MS Office. Completion of Pre-Design and Design categories to satisfy IDP requirements is strongly preferred. Candidates must also possess a proven ability to delegate, as well as manage multiple tasks, assignments and changing priorities.
