In addition to full facility condition assessments, Marx|Okuboperformed energy audits for over 400 buildings (10+ million square feet) onvarious college campuses across Georgia as a part of a state-wide effort toimprove building performance and control costs. The data from the energy auditswas integrated with a capital asset management system (CAMS) to allow campusengineering and financial planning teams to manage the facilities condition andbetter plan expenditures for energy conservation.
Theseservices are especially relevant to any public agency trying to manage an evermore complex set of factors in an age of tightening revenues. Our studiesoutlined a series of specific energy conservation measures on abuilding-by-building basis. A payback analysis was provided with each ECM toallow campus planners to decide which merited investment. Our reviews developedECMs which could develop tens of millions of dollars in potential savings overthe coming years.
