Marx|Okubo’s property condition assessments provide our clients with the necessary expertise to ensure that their buildings meet the highest standards of accessibility for persons with disabilities. At Alister Cherry Creek, a 324-unit, garden-style residential property, over $800,000 in accessibility-related capital needs were identified by Marx|Okubo professionals during the course of our condition review. The identified costs included the need for complete remodeling of kitchens, bathrooms and closets that previously did not allow for adequate positioning clearance for residents in wheelchairs. Also included were costs for adding accessible ramps to units on the first level that were previously only accessible by stairs.
During property condition assessments, Marx|Okubo professionals have consistently demonstrated awareness of building features that create livable spaces for all potential residents. This awareness, cultivated in over 35 years of experience assessing multifamily properties, makes Marx|Okubo an ideal candidate for the assessment of any multifamily property.
